Masonic Temple (second) is dedicated.

Also known as Freemason’s Hall, it is located in the former Winthrop House hotel at today’s 186 Tremont Street. The building is destroyed by a fire and the congregation moves to a new building on the same site (third) in 1867,* and then the current building (fourth) on the same site in 1899.*
